    METHOD - CREATIVE MEDITATION Can creative meditation increase health and well-being? Exploratory study "When creativity increases well-being " an exploratory study on the process of Creative Meditation In the exploratory study conducted by Dr. Mathilde Gautier, 2019 participants discovered the benefits of combining meditation and creativity to improve well-being. The study aimed to investigate how the process of meditating-creating-reflecting can increase creativity and promote well-being. The study found that participants were surprised by the effectiveness of this process, which helped them separate the three stages of meditating, creating and reflecting. They learned to appreciate the value of being creative without having to create something meaningful or effective. Participants discovered new techniques and working as a group increased their creativity, inspiration and motivation. They enjoyed sharing, exchanging and socializing with others, which allowed them to see different perspectives and helped them become more open to new ideas. The group work was also structuring and reassuring as it provided a defined framework for thinking outside the box. Additionally, participants observed several positive changes in their lives as a result of this process, including the ability to let go, clearer thinking, and reduced stress levels. They discovered new colors and how they could affect their well-being and became more open to new experiences. The exercise helped them understand themselves better, and they gained more confidence and self-esteem, which allowed them to take more risks in their lives. In summary, Dr. Gautier's study that the meditate-create-reflect process can increase creativity and promote well-being. The practice helps individuals become more open, less stressed and more confident, allowing them to dare to explore new experiences and techniques. The study highlights the value of combining meditation and creativity, which can have a positive impact on personal growth and development. However, it is only an exploratory preliminary study. Here you can read the entire study in English. ​ In November 2019 the study by Mathilde Gautier Ph.D. in Arts was published after interviewing former students in Creative Meditation. These are some of the statements: ​ "I trust myself more." ​ "I feel more present." ​ "I'm more open to daring to try new things.." ​ ​ ​ How creativity and culture increase emotional well-being. ​​That we feel better when we listen to music, paint or go to the theater is nothing new, especially not for people who work in this field throughout history. The new thing is that researchers can now measure how significant this can be for our well-being. ​ Since 2000, several large studies have been conducted that have begun to measure the impact of culture on health. ​ A study at Drexel University tested three groups of students before the exam. One group tried colouring, one made mandalas and one did free painting, all for 30 min.     Skogsbad med måleri En avkopplande friskvårdsaktivitet för att stärka immunförsvaret Skogsbad med eller utan måleri ​ Vi möts i skogen för en aktivitet med skogsbad/måleri. Skogsbad handlar om att uppleva naturen med alla sinnen. ​ Vi startar med en kort genomgång av Shirin Yoku. Kring hur den uppstod ur ett behov av att hantera stressrelaterade problem i Japan, och hur forskning påvisat hur skogsbad och måleri kan stärka immunförsvar och hälsa. För de som önskar kan man förlänga skogsbadet, och andra kan ha en kreativ del med måleri. En trevlig bieffekt brukar vara god sömn efter ett skogsbad. ​ Vi målar med akrylfärg eller akvarell och kaffe. Inga förkunskaper krävs utan fokus på att ha kul med färg. ​ Vill ni ha ett skräddarsytt upplägg efter ert fokus/tema så ordnar vi det.   • Historien bakom kreativ meditation | Zenart

    ART FOR DEVELOPMENT ​ My background and experiences I took my first course in learning to draw when I was 18 years old and since then I have been lucky enough to teach creative joy in Sweden, Australia, Bali, China, Singapore, Malaysia, England and Norway. I have learned a lot from my students from many parts of the world. From exercises, to techniques, to how we share with each other what we discover in our art. It became increasingly clear to me that I could often see in a work of art where the artist came from. I think how we use color, shapes and composition is very much related to the landscape we were born in. Imagine a winter day when you wake up and everything is white and blue in Scandinavia, as opposed to waking up to go to the flower market in India with every single color you can imagine. The connection between our culture, nature and color is something that we can explore to get to know ourselves, develop our art but also to feel better. More and more scientific studies support that idea. If you are curious, there is a collection on the cultural brain. How we use our brush, how we divide the process after painting, the complexity, the style and how we look at the negative space differs in each place. . But the way we look at the pure joy of creativity and color is universal. Being blocked by perfectionism or feeling guilty about taking the time to be creative also seems to be everywhere. The priority changes when students feel the joy of the flow of creativity and begin to understand how this practice can bring clarity and joy . In these moments, you also begin to see students draw conclusions about thoughts or feelings that have held them back for years. . These moments are at the heart of what this practice is all about. I love that each participant has come to this understanding from their own practice, which means that once you learn the tools, you can use them when you need them. Creative self-empowerment is at play in these sessions. . Having this experience is something I am extremely grateful for, and it has been the basis for developing the Zenart process into what it is today.
